An app-first relationship
The app was designed to carry the ongoing reader relationship. The website supports discovery and brings people into that experience.
Xpat · Digital media transformation
A newspaper company needed a website and social accounts for a new venture. Working with our AI marketing team, we developed a broader direction for what that business could become.
The starting brief
The initial request covered a website, social accounts and posts to support the new venture. Our first conversations explored the audience, the brand and the opportunity to build a digital media business around them.
The direction we developed
We brought strategy, identity, content delivery and product design together into a pitch. The client approved an app-first direction, a distinctive seasonal identity and a plan to reach readers through their everyday channels.
The thinking behind the build
The app was designed to carry the ongoing reader relationship. The website supports discovery and brings people into that experience.
Seasonal colour themes connect the app, website, logo and social channels, giving the publication a coordinated identity that changes with the calendar.
The distribution strategy includes WhatsApp, Telegram and email, bringing stories to the channels readers already use.
From direction to delivery
Discovery, strategy, brand and design came together within a week. The website build took 48 hours. The app-store releases followed the website launch on their own timelines.

Our contribution
AI was part of the work from the first conversation: exploring ideas, stress-testing concepts and shaping the look and feel. Marc brought technical experience and client context, with the AI team extending the strategy, brand and marketing work.
